– Brambati S.p.A., a leading company in the field of coffee processing technologies, announces the development of an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) project aimed at revolutionizing the roasting process through intelligent data analysis.
The new AI system will process both real-time and historical data collected from the roaster and the plant database, providing targeted suggestions to enhance productivity, reduce energy consumption, and improve predictive maintenance.
A key objective of the project is the development of an AI-based software module to be integrated directly into the roaster’s control system. This module will ensure the repeatability of essential technological parameters—such as color, moisture, bean development, and weight loss—thus guaranteeing consistent roasted coffee profiles and cup quality.
The system will analyze a wide range of data, including inlet and outlet air temperature, pressure, drum speed, coffee moisture, roasting time, gas flowmeter readings, and other key performance indicators. Thanks to its self-learning nature, the AI will continuously evolve, progressively improving the plant’s performance.
Another major benefit will be the reduction—or even elimination—of manual adjustments typically required when changing recipes, coffee quality, or seasonal conditions, resulting in significant time and resource savings.
To ensure maximum data security between customers and Brambati’s headquarters, the system will operate via a dedicated SIM-based remote connection, safeguarding sensitive information.
